Academic Resources

The Academy is located on a picturesque 200-acre campus, where lush rolling hills give way to her playing fields. Our campus is just minutes from the business, political, and educational hub of Morristown, and is also close to New York City and its endless cultural offerings. The College of Saint Elizabeth shares our campus, and we are neighbors to both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Drew University.

The cornerstone of any educational institution is its faculty. At the Academy, we are blessed with a diverse group of professional educators, men and women who are committed to excellence for their students. Academy alumnae frequently cite the excellence of our faculty when they talk about college preparedness.

Why? Our teachers approach learning with a spirit of enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity. Students are encouraged to examine closely, think critically, and develop creatively.

With a student/teacher ratio of 8:1 and small class sizes, our faculty develops a special rapport with each of our students and is able to individualize instruction when necessary. They are wonderful role models, acting as mentors, coaches, and counselors, often extending relationships with students well into their adult lives.

Science Labs

The Academy has entered the third millennium on a strong academic footing in the sciences with a new Science Wing modeled after those used at the university level. The biology, chemistry, and physics labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, supplies, and resources, all for the purpose of encouraging a hands-on approach to learning and a completely interactive relationship between students and scientific disciplines beyond our walls.
The Moran Library
The Moran Library houses an extensive print collection and DVDs that can be searched through our electronic catalog.  A wide variety of databases and e-books supports the curriculum content in all areas.
Art and Dance Studios
The Academy has both an art studio and a dance studio. Students use a wide array of learning materials to compose works within almost every artistic field, from the visual to the performing arts.
McMullen Theater
The McMullen Auditorium is located on the fourth floor of the Academy. It seats up to 450 people in front of a fully functional proscenium arch stage. The theater provides students with the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment.
