Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Justice Union Vision Statement

Rooted in the Gospel of Jesus, the Academy of Saint Elizabeth DEIJ Union endeavors to honor and celebrate the inherent dignity of all people. We define inclusivity as the equitable, comfortable, and respectful representation of a diverse spectrum of personal experience. This is interpreted as broadly as possible to include race, gender identity, faith, sexual orientation, physical ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic background, and any and all other facets that contribute to our unique perspectives.

True to our mission, the Academy has a responsibility to inspire students who will aspire to and foster a more just, fair, equitable, and inclusive society. We understand that by discovering, elevating, and amplifying others’ experiences, we imbue our students with the moral responsibility to advance equity in pursuit of a better world.
